Who we are...
Sombrio Painting Co. was started in the summer of 2015 in Victoria BC.
We now service the entire South Island region from Qualicum Beach to Greater Victoria, as well as Sydney NS and Cape Breton Island. It is a family owned business, operated by Simon Kuhl. I'm a second generation painter with 15 years professional painting and contracting experience. Prior to starting Sombrio Painting, I owned Mountain City Painting in Penticton.
The Sombrio Painting Co. story was featured on Chris Guillebeau's Side Hustle School Podcast - episode 173.
It was also featured in Canada's ProPainter magazine in 2017.
Beyond painting, I'm a husband, father, writer and photographer. I have a passion for learning, exploring and connecting with people.
